Know an author who'd love to dictate their fiction? Share your personal link. When your friend starts a paid Fictate™ plan, they get a gift and you earn credit toward free months. Here's exactly how it works.
What your friend gets
An author who signs up through your link and starts a paid plan receives 15,000 bonus words that never expire, added the day their paid plan begins. Their plan's own words are used first each month, and the bonus words roll over until they are used. The free trial itself stays the same for everyone.
What you earn
The moment your friend's first payment goes through, credit lands in your account: $5 for a Storyteller plan, $10 for an Author plan, $15 for a Fictator plan. Credit is earned on the first payment only — one credit per referred author — and there is no limit to how many friends you can refer or how much you can earn. If a friend's first payment is refunded within 14 days, the credit for that referral is reversed.
Turning credit into free months
From Account & Settings → Refer a Friend, you can redeem credit for a free month of your current plan whenever your balance covers it. If you subscribe through the App Store or Google Play, your next renewal date moves 30 days later. If you subscribe on the web, the credit comes off your next bill.
On an annual plan? A free month works the same way: your renewal date moves 30 days later, or on the web the credit comes off your next bill.
Can I use part of my credit? Credit redeems one whole month at a time, once your balance covers a month of your plan. Until then it keeps adding up.
In a free trial, or between plans? Credit waits for you. Redeem once your plan is paid and active.
Does credit expire? Never, while your account is open. It can't be exchanged for cash.
The fine print
You can't refer yourself, and a referral counts only when the friend is new to Fictate™ and enters your code or uses your link when creating their account. Credit is available to redeem while you have an active paid plan. We may adjust or end the program at any time; credit you've already earned stays yours. All amounts are in US dollars.
